Our Plans for the Future

As we get more involved in the education side of Green Building, the need has grown for a training facility specially designed for that purpose, as well as an office and demonstration of Better Building techniques. As a result, the Better Building Institute is in the process of finding a location and assembling a team to help build our NEW education center, in order to handle our increasing workload of classroom training in subjects like Weatherization for contractors and homeowners, Green Building, renewable energy sources and Climate Change. These and future classes are taught through Lewis & Clark Community College on a subcontractor basis.

As a demonstration house, as many High-Performance, Energy-Efficient and Green Building features will be shown as possible, thanks to the cooperation of local and national suppliers, contractors, and environmental groups.  Our goal is to show that a zero-energy, zero-carbon house can be built at a very affordable price.
